To Help Bring An End To Legalized Abortion:

PRAY!!!! And.....

1) Become and stay informed about abortion. Do you know what a healthy little 15-week-old unborn babie looks like? Find out! Then look at what aborted babies of all ages look like at Abortion TV, if you have the stomach for it. . .

2) Share your knowledge with others. If using a public computer, leave this or another pro-Life page up on the screen when you leave (perhaps one with pictures of aborted babies or one that offers help to mothers of aborted babies).

3) Write to your state government leaders and officials to let them know how you feel.

4) Wear a "Precious Feet" pin or another pro-Life symbol. "Precious Hands" are also available. These make great, informative gifts! For example, buy a set of ten or more (the more you buy, the cheaper each individual item is) and include them in birthday cards, Christmas cards, etc.

5) Get a pro-Life bumper-sticker for your car.

6) Make or get pro-Life stickers for your mail (or, as I do, print out pro-Life labels on ordinary paper, cut them out, and tape them to letters, bills, and all other mail). This not only gets to the person who opens the envelope, but to all people who handle the mail before it reaches its final destination!

7) Donate time, money, or items (you can buy baby/child/maternity/women's clothing at yard sales and thrift stores to donate, for example) to your local Crisis Pregnancy Center.

8) Make or get pro-Life pamphlets, flyers, or fact sheets and leave them in public places such as doctors' offices, the post office, or the grocery store - anywhere you can!

9) When people come to your door selling something, give them a fact sheet on abortion.

10) Call radio talk shows and voice your opinion.

11) Write in to the editor and people in the media.

12) Get your church involved with pro-Life activities/fundraisers/awareness. Bring pro-Life speakers to talk to your church or another group.

13) Make your own pro-Life home-page, get involved in other pro-Life websites as a volunteer, get involved in local pro-Life organizations, or participate in pro-Life events, such as March for Life in Washington, D.C. every year on the anniversary of the legalization of abortion.

14) Vote For pro-Life candidates.

15) Find out which companies are pro-Life and support them, and find out which companies support abortion and boycott them.

16) Hand out abortion flyers at fairs and other public events (or, really, any public place).

17) Students: do projects and write papers about abortion. This not only exposes your teachers and classmates to the reality of abortion, but you will probably learn even more about the topic yourself (and become more able to spread the truth to others). Topics include general information about abortion, abortion history, post abortion stress disorder (a type of post traumatic stress disorder), different procedures, "behind-the-scenes" info from people who worked at abortion clinics, etc. See our Students section for more ideas!

18) Take the opportunity to talk about abortion at work.

19) Use adoption postage stamps.

20) Adopt a child or become a foster parent (or if you are not in the situation to do that, support adoption/foster care facilities).

21) Find the abortuary closest to you and write a letter/e-mail of disapproval. If it is in a hospital, avoid going to that hospital for your healthcare needs if possible. Find out if your hospital allows abortions to be performed there and if your family physician performs abortions. If he or she does perform abortions, switch to a pro-Life doctor.

22) Those in the medical profession: don't be affraid to talk to your patients about abortion if they are considering it or even just wondering about what really happens during the procedure, etc. This is client education, and you are not being "judgemental" by doing so.

23) Use pro-Life checks.

24) Spiritually adopt a pre-born child.

25) If you know someone who is going to have an abortion, call the abortion clinic and cancel their appointment without their knowing about it. You may be able to convince them not to go through with it, and if not they may take the fact that their appointment was mysteriously canceled as a "sign" that they shouldn't have the abortion after all. To read more about this approach check the story at Student Stories.

25) A new way to help Crisis Pregnancy Centers is to go to www.lifeforchildren.org and use the high-powered search engine from their site. For each search performed, the site will get a donation that will go to one of 12 centers in the US and Canada! Read the full article here.

26) If you have any other ideas, please write them to ProlifeStudents@yahoo.com for them to be included on this list.
